Communicating With Your Manager

Workshop Overview:

Ever wonder how to communicate with your manager?  One of the most difficult things a person has to do is communicate with their manager about problems they are having, personal issues with peers, bully behaviour that they have noticed, or in general just tell them how they feel about things.

This workshop is designed to give you insight in those areas and techniques on how to make your job of managing your manager information stream easier.  You will also learn techniques to help you prepare for the performance review meeting, and in general, have an excellent tracking system of your accomplishments and problem areas.

Having the performance meeting with employee and supervisor should be the most rewarding time through-out the year.  Each person is involved in setting objectives, discussing goals and looking back on a busy year.

This workshop will assist you in staying on track through-out the year, assist you in setting and managing your objectives, communicating with impact to your team leader and in general have an understanding of the performance review process in a proactive, responsible, accountable and empowered fashion.

Who Should Attend?

All non-managers .

You Will Learn:
• Documenting your successes and opportunities as ABC’s,
• Setting the performance standards with your Manager,
• Performing job expectations daily,
• Discuss with your Manager your needs and goals,
• Be involved in a positive communication scenario throughout the year,
• Identify bully behaviour,
• Identify your managers’ needs and concerns.
